Stay Moving, Stay Motivated

So, the world is a weird place right now. Due to COVID19, everyone is supposed to socially distance themselves and every gym across America is closed at this moment. Everyone's focus has shifted to funny memes, excessive snacking, tik tok challenges and so on. I am not pointing fingers as this was how I was spending my first week when I found out we had to stay at home. I was upset with myself because I didn't feel like putting in the work as I was limited in equipment and I kept snacking and eating whatever I had in the fridge!

Each day I would wake up and say it will be different, however I'd just push my goals to the next day and so on. This basically happened for a week and a half. I finally got fed up and I was like, I need to have some sort of accomplishments each day.

So in order to keep myself accountable I ended up coming up with a few workouts that I could do in the living room. I leveraged social media to come up with some easy to do body and light weight workouts. Once I obtained a set of workouts, I ended up using an excel sheet to keep track of the workouts and set a number of sets and reps I wanted to do for each workout. I have attached what the excel sheet looked like. This is basically my to do workouts for each day.

I compliment these home workouts by running and biking this trail by my house which is pretty secluded and ideal since its easy to keep your social distancing. In addition to all of this, I still practiced virtual yoga every morning. This helped keep me nimble and meditate before each day began.
